It is with great joy and profound emotion that I depart from the beautiful Monastery of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, which cultivates virtue within the framework of the spiritual and monastic tradition of Orthodoxy; also because the sum total of the nuns in blessed asceticism, who come from different fatherlands, gave me a pleasant suprise, such that in this monastery the ecumenicity of Orthodoxy is realized.
Under the oversight and pastoral providence of my old friend, the Athonite Archimandrite Fr. Dionyssios, I have the hope that the Holy Monastery will progress in every aspect and will constitute a true spiritual beacon of Orthodoxy, to the glory of God and the salvation of many souls. I pray that the Lady Theotokos, as the "nanny of virgins", but also as the first and greatest hesychast for twelve years within the Holy of Holies, and even as a unique "propagandist" for the life of women monastics, will help the sisters in Christ in their efforts, such that their settlement will issue forth full of good works, and chiefly through theosis, toward which divine Monasticism is directed. Amen.
