This monastic Brotherhood continues a brilliant tradition of centuries, which, with pain and labour, formulated a witness of Orthodoxy and Hellenism here. May these hope-bearing young monks, under the select Abbot Archim. Dionyssios, contribute so that this extinguished Lighthouse will regain its Light without evening and shine yet again upon this battlement, to the glory of God and the renown of our devout Race, fleeing the fiery darts of the evil one that are set in motion against them and remaining unbent and unblemished by any influence of evil. "Into their teeth, surrender not Thy servants, O Savior".
Christodoulos, Metropolitan of Demetriados
