The presence of the priest is a presence of the Son of God, of Christ Himself. It is a presence which has something to say about the course of the world and its rebirth.
All nations are ready to accept us. We are the ones responsible, and the guilty ones, if Christ has not been accepted everywhere. I personally. God is looking for even just a few persons. He brought down His "bargaining" with Abraham to five: "If I find five in Sodom, okay", He says. But He didn’t find them. For just five He was searching when the Conquerer of Constantinople saw His hand over the City.
And we can bring, not just five people, but the whole world to Christ. Again, St. John Chrysostom says, "One person is enough to reform the whole municipality, the whole world."
