Many people raise the question, "I wonder, will we reach the year 2000?" But even if we reach it, in what condition will we reach it?
As kings. Because the priest holds the Gospel in his hands, whether he’s before the Holy Altar, or carrying it like the holy hierarchs, the Fathers. The Gospel of Christ is their fortune; it is what they have to give to the others. And whether the priest is celebrating, walking, eating, drinking, wherever he is, in essence he is serving the Divine Liturgy of the Church. The Church, out of Her experience, delimited and defined the Liturgy daily, for the most part, as being St. John Chrysostom’s Divine Liturgy, which is the poem of humanity.
