"Suffer the little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not: for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven" (Luke 18:16).

With feelings of profound emotion, thanks and love I engrave these lines, in order to express my great joy for this taproot of our Faith, which the spiritual care of my old and respected friend, the Very Reverend Archimandrite Dionysios Kalampokas, raised up in this blessed corner of Boeotia with the blessing of the Metropolitan of Thebes Ieronymos, constituting the hope of our Church. May the Lord fortify them all in their valuable, laborious and difficult work.

Let us therefore make our wings the yoke of Christ, taking up Christ’s "burden", our brother (Mat. 11:30). "He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother." Our wings are to load upon ourselves the other. Our stole is all the others, whom we take upon our neck, and how much more, the aweful weight of the omophorion, which is not only one lamb, one lost sheep, but the whole Oecumene upon the shoulders of the Bishop, who is in "the type and position of Christ". Leaping forward with all the appetite of a newly-ordained, very athletic parish priest, even if our hair turns white, even if our knees are trembling, even if we have to have a check-up every month – with such verve as to prepare and exploit every little thing, building for Christ.
