With His Eminence Athenagoras,
Metropolitan of Panama & Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Central America.
9 November 1999

Flooded with emotion I thank our Lord for the blessing of praying together, invoking the Grace of the All-good God upon this new Monastic field.

May the Lord our God be pleased, such that Your Sisterhood may strengthen the work of the One, Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church through the presence of Sisters from this Monastery in Mexico.

Furthermore, in the year 2000 let us make it the watchword of our lives to offer confessed hearts to the Lord, not searching maniacally for converts like the various heretical groups, but rather knowing that the people who approach us want to hang themselves around our necks, whether it’s the President of the Parish, or of the Country, or someone throbbing on a sidewalk of life expiring, or our greatest enemy. The person who doesn’t betray personal and interpersonal relationship is himself surrendered as a victim.

So there you have it, action is the ladder to theory; the relationship of the confessor and confessee, the confessional relationship; in the morning we spoke about the priest as confessor and in the evening, as confessee. Maintaining this nuclear relationship, and by reason of one such faithfulness unto death and beyond, God creates signs and wonders, manifesting the love than which there is nothing greater, the love which causes him who loves to sacrifice himself.
