His Divine Beatitude I r e n a e u s I, Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem & All Palestine, who also suggested to the most devout pilgrim to the Holy Land, Mr. Demetrios Tsellos, that he give our very respected Elder the ridge of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, for the establishment of our Sacred Monastery in Thebes, Boeotia, at the Exarchia of the All-Holy Sepulchre in Athens on October 28th, 1993.

I wish that You become worthy of your venerable Elder, spiritual Father and guide, who is to me a dear brother, Archimandrite Dionysios.
          I wish for the Lord to cover You from the snares of the enemy and show You forth perfect, excelling in blessedness and holiness and the confession of faith and truth, by the intercessions of Your patron, St. Irenaeus the Confessor.

Athos, Spiritual Father and Elder of the Very Reverend Archimandrite Dionysios, Founder/Builder and Spiritual Father of our Sacred Monastery, in the Refectory after the latter’s tonsure by the former into the Great Schema, at Simonos Petras on October 3, 1977. The Secretary of our Monastery, the Reverend Nun Aemiliane, had responsibility for the calendar.
