Our Chief Shepherd, His Eminence Ieronymos, Metropolitan of Thebes & Levadeia, together with sixteen journalists from the periodical God and Religion in our Sacred Monastery, where they held interviews in order to record the first-fruits and life of the Monastic Sisterhood.

“…The Very Reverend Archimandrite, Elder Dionysios, the founder and builder of the ‘spiritual beehive’ of the Holy Cross, has the spiritual direction of the nuns. One could say that this particular monastery constitutes an example and register of the embodiment of the ecumenical dimension of Orthodoxy and its message. Young nuns of different ethnicities and religious backgrounds come to know Orthodoxy and embrace Christianity, but also receive the monastic schema, with the sole aim of living in asceticism and service to the faithful.”

What can we say, my child, about the angelic sentinels who brought you here? What can we say about the fatherly embrace which hastens to open and encompass you, in order that you also be a vessel bearing manna on high, before that throne of the Triune God which has been prepared, and before this Royal Door, which the Cherubim always guard - why? Why especially today? Because today, God’s hand will constitute you a king crowned, a son of lightning, a perfect vision! Is this supposedly the first time that you go through this Door? I seek to comprehend the mystery. I want gradually to touch it.
