The Very Reverend Abbot of the Sacred Monastery of Simonos Petras, Mount Athos and venerable Elder Archimandrite Aemilianos, the patriarch of conteporary Eastern Orthodox Monasticism, on the throne of the Catholicon in Holy Cross Monastery of the Jerusalem Patriarchate, upon his visit to his spiritual child, the Very Reverend Archimandrite Dionysios, then Abbot of that Monastery, on 10/23 May, 1995, responding to the latter's welcoming address with his final speech until this time.

"I know that you love me very much. This is certain. And I believe that every day every night, you enter into my heart, and leaving there you enter in to the hearts of all those people who love."
