The Very Reverend
Archimandrite Dionysios
Abbot of Holy Cross Monastery
In Jerusalem

Very Reverend Holy Abbot,

We address You as brothers in the Lord and embrace your dear Very Right Reverence.

Upon returning three days ago from our sacred pilgrimage in the Holy Land, we desire, through our Letter now in Your hand, which bears the sacred Stamp of the Community, to express our warmest thanks for the very honorable reception and hospitality which we received in Your renowned Sacred Monastery of the Holy Cross.

Your Very Reverend and brotherly presence, and that of the brothers of Your God chosen Company, upon our arrival, during our travels to the most Holy Shrines, during the pleasant stay and hospitality, which was like Abraham's, in your Sacred Monastery, as well as even during the departure of our Holy Community, gave us the possibility for our short but unforgettable pilgrimage to be crowned with complete success.

Especially, allow us to mention the warmest disposition, the brother-loving toil, and the discreet support of one amongst Your brothers, the very dear Reverend Priestmonk Bartholomew, who labored greatly for our comfortable stay and the coordination of our schedule.

As a perpetual reminder of Your brotherly love and discerning honor towards our Holy Community, we cherish Your precious gift, which, according to -Your request, already adorns our conference room, making our communion in the bond of love tangible.

With this, and again grateful for Your brother-loving hospitality and company, and wishing You abundant reward from the Lord and fruitfulness in Your work, we close with great love, the dear brothers in Christ of Your Very Right Reverence.

All the Representatives and Council members of the General Assembly of the twenty Sacred Monasteries of the Holy Mountain of Athos.
